Not everyone Visiting Japan is interested in temples and museums. Sometimes, to get to understand a culture that needs to go beyond the suggested sites for his guidance. If you are looking for some strange and unusual things to see and do in Tokyo, read on for some ideas.

If you want to try one, be prepared to wait a bit as the lines can achieve long.
Also at the weekend in the href = "http://www.tokyoessentials.com/harajuku.html"> Harajuku, just across from Yoyogi National Stadium, young and old put on a variety of Japanese music fans, dance and comedy. Some are good, some are pretty average, while others are rare. Impress your friends to get some pictures of punk rock kids all dressed in school uniforms. Outside Tokyo Yoyogi Park is Rock-a-billy group dressed in jeans and leather with hairstyles to match, dancing to the fifties and sixties.
Find out what all the controversy is about to visit the Yasukuni Shrine. Every Japanese prime minister's visit to the shrine cause indignation and makes headlines across China and Korea. Yasukuni Shrine is rather remarkable in view, but what is known is that commemorates Japan's participation in World War II. Not less than 12 convicted war criminals class are in Yasukuni. Interestingly, the shrine is a popular destination for tourists from Asia.
If you've ever been in a Japanese restaurant you know about the plastic food displays that used to put in front of her window. Plastic creations are sold at a place called Kappabashi Street. It is located between Ueno and Asakusa. You can also pick up some interesting souvenirs, including sushi keychains. Kappabashi the place where serious cooks and restaurants buy kitchen utensils and accessories.
Akiharbara is famous mainly for cheap electronics, but more recently has become the center to the otaku culture. Otaku is a word that describes mostly men in video games, computers and animation. Â "Maid cafes" have emerged to meet the visiting Akihabara otaku. In cafes with waitresses are dressed in clean clothes in French maid costumes or characters from popular computer games. Maid cafes greet their customers with a phrase that translates loosely as "Mastera welcome. Photograph of the maids A "" only seems to be encouraged.
A narrow alley, not far from Shinjuku station is the aptly named Shombo Yokocho, or piss alley by the lack of toilets in the stores. It is a narrow street lined with shops Yakitori or grilled chicken. Barbecue puffs of smoke from each of stores. Fortunately, public services are now available in the area. The place has an interesting atmosphere of old Tokyo, but for a better diet of Yakitori head around Yurakucho station.
Small Yakitori restaurants sit just below the railway lines. The train noise and vibration from causing the pass above, only adds to the atmosphere. The area is popular with Japanese workers grab a beer and a snack before going home commute.
Once dinner is done, most foreigners head to bars and clubs in Roppongi. For a more interesting Japanese experience, visit Golden Gai area of Shinjuku. Golden Gai is a small group of bars frequented client with Japanese artists, writers and musicians.
Development is the fast pace in Tokyo, and many of the most interesting places like Golden Gai are threatened by bulldozers. It is a sad reality but it is the changing fashion and fads that make Japan less than a holiday, but the creation of many an anecdote which is sure to enliven any party.
