Inn The Park Restaurant

Budget travel to Niagara Falls?

Hi all, My boyfriend and I come from Pennsylvania, across the bridge to Canada next Friday. All the information I read says they are expensive meals around the waterfalls. Any suggestions on some decent restaurants price but still good we can go to during our stay? We stayed at the Comfort Inn hotel, so we are near the falls, and breakfast and parking are free … but we need lunch and dinner destinations. Also, what are the "must see" things we should check out? We plan on spending time in the Casino, but I want to do tourism also … We plan to bring soft drinks and alcohol (beer, cold drinks and type of wine) with us from Pennsylvania. It can be driven through customs? I am aware that we need to have our birth certificates with us, but do not need passports to drive. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks, ~ Kat

The same falls area is very commercial and the food is mediocre in most places beacause it is to attract the masses. Very expensive too. First Responder is a great idea, head to Niagara on the Lake – a small city with an English atmosphere. There are bars where you can get a good dinner for under $ 15. Try the Angel Inn – they have a good meal pub – alas, Guinness stew, fish and chips for less than $ 15 per person. There is another pub called the Harp I, and many places that serve only Starters (appetizers) Casino – Great if you like that, but have no time for other things. . I do not spend money on any of the museums, attractions, horror or monster wax. – If the choice is only not a tourist thing Maiden of the Mist – probably the most extraordinary view of the falls, and not too expensive for the value of the experience of an economic perspective and near the falls, try the National Park of American side. You can walk on the bridges out on small islands right into the rapids. You can walk on the tracks direct bearing on the brink of the American Falls. You can take the elevator down to the base of the falls and look toward the water crashing on the rocks. I think the wine cooler is fine, if you plan to eat and not leave the country. Bring back a certain amount is good too.
