honeymoon uk destination for a short break?
we’re getting married in august 2009, and my mom has offered to have the kids for a few days after so we can go away on our own. but we dont know where?? we live in the midlands so have easy access to most uk places, we like little pubs and inns, the thought of staying in a large hotel would horrify me!!also we are looking to spend no more then £200 – £300. any ideas?? by the sea would be nice, and a nice bath too!but i dont know if our budget will stretch to that, itd either be 2 or 3 nights. thanks, ive been googeling everything i can think of and not had much luck!!
Stayed in a lovely hotel in Bradford on Avon in Somerset – I can’t remember the name though! The town is lovely – all hilly and medieval. A great Thai restaurant and not too far (about 30 mins) from the coast. The hotel is on the edge of town and has rooms for about £150 a night in a 17th century home.
Alternatively you could try the Lake District or Stratford? Grassmere is lovely.
