Inn Hotel Chicago

hotels outside of chicago?

I’m going to Chicago on Tuesday for a White Sox game. We kind of would like to stay at a Hotel outside of Chicago (because they are cheaper). We want to spend around 100 or less a night. I saw so many online around the airports. What Hotel do you suggest? Something like Howard Johnsons, Red Roof Inn, etc. It has to be clean, cheap and in a safe area. We wouldn’t mind taking the shuttle to an Aiport and then riding the el to the city.
Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!

u would want to stay at the hotel court by midway airport on 71st & cicero. they have several clean & safe choices, (marriot(just built), holiday inn, courtyard, farifield and a few others, most within your budget)….TGI fridays is right there, midway is a shuttle bus or cta/pace bus ride down the street…then from the airport u take the orange line L in to downtown and transfer to the red line L. Walmart, target, ford city mall is also on cicero the other way (76-72nd & cicero)
if you’re going to be by ohare airport (further away), they also have the same grouping of hotels there as well. that would be a blue line L into the city, then on to the red line L.
