The final selection was announced during the 117th IOC Session held at the Raffles City Convention Centre in Singapore on July 6, 2005. London won the right to host the 2012 Olympic Games with 54 votes against France’s 50 votes. The 2012 Summer Olympic programme features 26 sports and a total of 39 disciplines.
To take the honor of being the official hotel services provider of 2012 Olympic Games, the London Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) announced that Holiday Inn was their choice. London 2012 Chairman, Lord Sebastian Coe, attests that organizing such a big event that involves people from all over the world is certainly a great challenge for them.
