how do I get to Gatwick Airport from St. Pancras?
I am going on a European Cruise within the next week or so and part of our trip consists of the last few days of my trip – in Paris and then London.
Myself, my mom and dad (we are all from Canada) are going to stay at a hotel near the London Gatwick Airport (in this case, we are staying at the Holiday Inn Gatwick hotel). We are arriving from Paris, France via the Eurostar train and we are arriving at St. Pancras station.
I am not very familiar with the London Underground nor their mass transport system along with their fare system.
Any suggestions?

from the Eurostar terminal at St Pancras head downstairs to the mainline rail station … you want the southbound First Capital Connect train, destination Brighton, which stops at Gatwick Airport on the way … the sign to look out for is the one at the top left of this web page http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/ … but any of the station personnel will be able to direct you
you won’t need to use London Underground at all
