Holiday Inn Select
Has anyone stayed at the Holiday Inn Select Bakersfield Convention Center recently and would you recommend?
Also wondering whether it would be safe at night to walk from the train station to the hotel.
Well, I think that hotel is nice but overpriced. Just across the street is a very nice Best Western at about half the price. If you want to save even more just take a GET transit bus from the Amtrak station to California Street & Highway 99 about 10 minutes away where an abundance of reasonable hotels exist such as a Day’s inn and Super 8 for less than $50 a night compared with about $70 at the Best Western and Well over $100 at Holiday Inn Select.
