Bed And Breakfast Tulsa Oklahoma

During the summer I made plans to spend four days of autumn in New York. True to my hopes that the weather was absolutely perfect this weekend October. Reserving a flight was the easy part. Finding a place to stay was not. I have a few friends in New York, but like many New Yorkers their places are small and / or shared. I did not want to impose, and preferred to be independent, not worry about annoying people when returning from trips around town or late at night.

Hotels recommended, as the Pod were reserved. I got a few places like New York 50 – A site dedicated to hotels and rental of about $ 50 per night. Needless to say that the comments were atrocious. I found several lists of the best hotels in score as this collection About.com, but they were too. I got a condo rental site attractive rates, but balked when I heard they wanted a deposit of 50% over fork through a bank transfer. Yeah right. Take a credit card – This is not 1950. For a month now and then read reviews and prices. Holiday Inn, Hampton Inns and other chains run north of $ 300 per night in Manhattan. The most beautiful hostels were booked. Tripadvisor reviews of cheap hotels were really fun to read – if not frightening. When searching for a place for less than $ 140 I stopped reading the review Tripadvisor and horrifying stories of insects, molds, surly staff, and even insects crawling over people sleep. I wish I had some favorites of examinations as are hilarious. I'm far from high maintenance, but require my room beetle free.

Someone mentioned in Lonely Planet Chelsea Pines Inn to another advertiser who seek accommodation. This neighborhood would be at a great price, and had availability. Tired or searching and comparing I immediately charged.

Chelsea Pines is located on 14th Street between 7th and 8th Avenue. Typical of the area in a building, narrow, with five floors, with about four fifty-six units per floor. Giving rooms a distinct style and character, each is devoted a former actor or actress from the golden years of Hollywood. There is a solarium and a patio for socializing and meeting the other guests, and breakfast is served each morning to 11 hours. Although I always travel with earplugs just in case the wind over a noisy street, the street sounds below 14 did not wake up everyone. It was pretty quiet at night, and central air conditioning helps too. (Above 14th Street photo taken from the room.)

Another thing that makes that this special place though: The variety and diversity in their rooms and rates. The luxurious and modern rooms on lower floors are decorated in granite, have springs iPods, flat screen televisions and modern accessories. Standard rooms reside in the flats on average, and the halls of the economics of home fourth and fifth floor more small part with a shared bath – (not uncommon in hotels in New York.) My room was not as modern as the current excellent quality, but it was okay for me, because the rate was below average is a global place. When I return I may opt for stylish accommodation, but this time my needs were simple. There are plenty of budget rooms that dot the city, but being able to find a room in economy that is also a well-organized and well-kept building is rare. I am grateful Jay-holder and staff to offer its guests a variety of economic options, resulting in a nice mix of guests too.

Although there were some faces manning the reception I met, talked to the owner Jay a few times and met a small group of visitors from Scotland. Chelsea Pines is clean, comfortable, and more than enough room for my solo trip – and I recommend it as a "second home" to those who remain in the city.

Are at 317 West 14th Street in Chelsea, and about 30 steps from the subway too. Check out Chelsea Pines Inn. com for details rate and its history. And any other hotel should be so fortunate to have on Tripadvisor rating.
