Bed And Breakfast Quiche Recipes

Master Quiche Recipe

4-6 servings
1 9-inch frozen pie crust
6 eggs, preferably at room temperature
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
2 cups milk, heated gently
½ teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 425 degrees and bake the empty crust pie for 10-12 minutes. Remove pie crust from oven to cool while preparing filling.
In a blender, mix eggs, milk, salt and pepper.
Add the cheddar cheese to the pan and pour egg mixture over the top.
Bake 30-40 minutes or until eggs are almost set and golden.
It takes 2 cups additions to replace the cheddar cheese – this could be 1 cup cheese and 1 cup of vegetables or cereals, or 2 cups of something interesting. If you are using vegetables or grains, make sure to cook and drain them. The cooking directions are the same. Some great additions quiche:
- Black beans, served with spoon sauce over
- Asparagus, cooked, cut in 1-inch pieces
- Goat cheese and pesto
- Steamed Broccoli
- Hash Browns
- A can of diced green chiles
- Apples and Sausage
- Caramelized Onions with quinoa or bulgur wheat
- White cheese sauce with mixed pepper
- Spinach and Feta
- Artichoke hearts marinated in curd
- Tomatoes nuts and parmesan cheese
