Washington Va Inns

How is Hampton Inn Springfield, VA for 2 days washington DC tour.?

Anyone has stayed/reviews of this hotel? Anyone has used their shuttle to metro station, how is the frequency of shuttle? is it available till late night, say 11pm?
I read good reviews about their breakfast and nearby location to mall.

They are probably talking Springfield Mall, not the National Mall (Smithsonian). It is not in the most scenic of areas as Springfield is the choke point of highways for commuters in and out of DC.

If its cheap, you will be OK. If you are trying to save a few bucks…and can spare some more..family stays at the Marriott residence in Old Town…They are walking distance to the Old Town Metro…which speeds you right into the city. Also, Old Town is a great place to hang out all together.

Also they had bfast, lunch, dinner and snacks at the hotel included in your rate. My brother got a deal at $119. over a holiday weekend…so watch for good rates. It might make it worth it to save some more $$ on food.

Springfield is fine otherwise. Distance by auto is 15 mins without traffic….could be an hour or more otherwise.

Enjoy your stay.
