Inn At The Market
UGH ok HELP in san antonio PLEASE! in tears!!?
Sorry Im just getting real upset over silly things ugh…
Ok, mother in hospital needs kidney transplant. I’m flying overseas to san antonio and I need a motel that is NOT expensive but safe…I need it to be near the university hospital (medical center) but also near to the airport area (where mom lives for if she checks out). I’ll be staying a week and I don’t drive, so I’d like a motel that at least has a restaurant or market walking distance from it. Does anyone know of an Inn or motel that fits these guidlines?! Thank you SO MUCH in advance!!! I know nothing about san antonio or the states!!
The University Hospital and the Airport are in different parts of the city. I would probably try to stay on Loop 410 between the two. That would give you bus service to both in case you don’t drive or chose not to rent a car. There are several restaurants on Loop 410 in the North Central to North West area.
There is a Pear Tree Inn, a HomeGate Studios and Suites and a Days Inn which are all nice and between $ 60 and $74 per night. They are on the bus route and have restaurants close by.

Thses are closer to the airport, but about 20-30 minutes from the Medical center by bus. Less by car. As San Antonio is such a spread out city a car is highly recommended.
for bus information see:
www.viainfo.net
This will give you a site which can tell you what the bus schedules are and routes and has a trip planner so you can put in the addresses of the hospital and the hotel and it will tell you the time for the trip and which bus/es to take.
I would recommend a rental car and the best rates in San Antonio are usually from Enterprise and are reasonable on a weekly rate. Also you can try Priceline, we often use this for rental cars and beat the online rates by 20-40%.
Good luck with your trip and I pray your mother does well.
